Central World

For those who love metropolitan cities and shopping, Central World plaza is a place to visit in Bangkok as it is regarded as one of the finest shopping centers and malls in South East Asia. Central World and the Plaza, have established themselves amongst the local elite and expatriate community of Bangkok, making shopping almost a national past time in Thailand because now everyone who enjoys a lifestyle of genuine class, will go to Central World.
The Plaza is an area for events and displays of design and art, with regular monthly happenings in the whole range of subjects, i.e., from wedding dress design competitions to Japanese Art and the Plaza being so closely attached to Central world, means visitors can make a day of it because floors upon floors of shops to browse and a large number of food outlets to take a break from serious shopping. It is a great place to plan and spend a day here shopping or window shopping.
In the evening, the Plaza sometimes holds special promotions for sports events, usually sponsored by one of the big local breweries which fantastic Thai music, but if you don’t like it, there are many cinemas to choose from, all showing the current movies out.
Central world can be accessed at the ground level from Rajadamri Road. This certainly was not convenient enough and two further connections were created towards the sky-train that passes the Rajaprasong intersection to its main station at Siam square. There is along walking way from Chitlom station to Siam Square on the sky-train platform. When coming from Chitlom(closest) and walking towards Siam Square, one can turn right into the “ Sky Walk” connecting to Central World.
